Editorial Guidelines

1. Our Commitment

Hair Scripts is committed to producing accurate, evidence-based, and clinically sound health content. Every article, treatment description, and patient-facing communication is grounded in peer-reviewed research and reviewed by licensed medical professionals.

2. Content Creation Process

All content follows a three-stage process:

• —Drafting: Content is written by Angie Edmund, FWTS (Fellow of the World Trichology Society), a certified trichologist with clinical experience in hair restoration.
• —Medical Review: All clinical claims, treatment descriptions, and medication information are reviewed by Harolyn Gilles, MD, a licensed physician, for clinical accuracy and safety.
• —Trichology Review: Specialized trichology content is additionally reviewed by William Gaunitz, FWTS, a certified trichologist and founder of the Evolution Hair Loss Institute.

3. Sourcing & Citations

Every clinical claim is backed by peer-reviewed research. We cite sources using PubMed identifiers (PMID) where available. Sources include:

• —Peer-reviewed medical journals (indexed in PubMed)
• —FDA regulatory filings and drug labels
• —Clinical practice guidelines from dermatology and trichology societies
• —State and federal telehealth regulations

We do not cite blogs, marketing materials, or unverified sources for clinical claims.

4. Content Review Cycle

All medical content is reviewed at minimum every 12 months. Content covering medications, dosing, or safety information is reviewed every 6 months or whenever new clinical evidence is published. Each page displays a "Last Reviewed" date and the reviewing physician's name and credentials.

5. Conflict of Interest

Hair Scripts is a telehealth platform that prescribes compounded medications. We are transparent about this financial relationship. Our medical content is reviewed independently by our physician, who has the authority to reject, modify, or flag any content that is not clinically accurate, regardless of commercial implications. Compounded medications are described accurately — including the fact that they are NOT FDA-approved as finished products.

6. Bylines & Attribution

Every medical content page includes dual bylines:

7. Patient Safety

All content is designed to inform, not to replace medical advice. Patients should always consult with their assigned provider before making changes to their treatment. Content about medications includes full disclosure of risks, contraindications, and off-label uses.

8. Corrections

If you find an error in our content, please report it to info@hair-script.com. We review all reports within 48 hours and publish corrections with a dated changelog when warranted.
